We are no stranger to the Grants Pass area. In fact, one of our partners, Tim Williams, was born and raised in Grants Pass. He attended several of the elementary schools (Allendale, Redwood, and Riverside), North Middle School, and finally Grants Pass High School. While at Grants Pass High School, Tim amassed several academic awards while, at the same time, excelling in Football, Basketball and Track. In fact, his 1994 Grants Pass High School football team won the Southern Oregon Conference title undefeated before moving on to the Oregon state playoffs. His varsity basketball and track teams did quite well also.

Immediately after graduating from Grants Pass High School in 1995, Tim worked at Maurer Enterprises, as small mill in Grants Pass that stood at what is now the Redwood Highway Albertson’s, and it wasn’t unusual to see him playing basketball at Lawnridge Park or floating the Rogue River that summer. Tim ultimately attended Southern Oregon University, where he excelled academically and also played both football and basketball for the college. However, even though he was in school in Ashland, Tim drove to Grants Pass nearly every weekend to work at Stone Forest, Inc., and later U.S. Forest Products, both plywood mills located on SW “M” Street in Grants Pass. Tim graduated from Southern Oregon University in 1999.
Because there was not a law school at Southern Oregon University, Tim had no choice but to leave the Grants Pass area. However, he didn’t go far. Tim moved only three hours away, to Eugene, to attend the University of Oregon School of Law, where he graduated in 2003. Tim later moved to Bend, but still returns to Grants Pass frequently to visit friends and family.
Tim Williams takes great pride in hailing from Grants Pass. He often recounts stories to his juries of growing up and helping his grandfather on his small cattle ranch, or working down the street at the Foreman dairy. Tim takes this small town upbringing, where ethics, morals and principle matter, and applies this Grants Pass upbringing to his law practice. There is most certainly a little bit of “Grants Pass” in every personal injury case that Tim takes to trial or otherwise litigates.
