We are proud to announce that our partner and lead litigator, Tim Williams, is now a National Crime Victim Advocate, having just completed the National Crime Victim Bar Association’s training. This is just the latest in Tim’s growing list of community advocacy and involvement roles.
The National Crime Victim Bar Association was established in 1986 in response to the growing demand of victims seeking attorney referrals and aid in pursuing civil suits against perpetrators and negligent third parties. Many victims of crime do not pursue civil remedies because they are neither comfortable nor familiar with the civil justice system. National Crime Victim Advocates are trained according to state law in order to bridge the gap between crime victims’ needs and the legal justice system.
